Case Study/FT Staffing

Local hiring wasn't working. So they stopped hiring locally.

iBeAuthentic Agency was struggling to find strong candidates in their local market, especially at the quality and cost structure their business needed. Ghost Sherpa built a nearshore LATAM pipeline across multiple roles. The people placed didn't just fill the gaps. They expanded what the agency could offer.

The Problem

iBeAuthentic Agency was growing, but their local talent market wasn't keeping pace. The candidates they found locally either didn't have the skill set, didn't have the reliability, or didn't fit the cost structure that made hiring sustainable for an independent agency.

The result: positions stayed open too long, work got spread too thin, and the agency's ability to take on new client work was capped by what they could realistically staff.

The Engagement

Ghost Sherpa introduced a nearshore LATAM staffing model. Vetted, English-fluent professionals working in iBeAuthentic's time zones, inside their tools, on their process. Candidates were screened across multiple rounds before presentation, which meant the shortlists that reached the client were tight and highly qualified.

iBeAuthentic has hired across multiple positions through Ghost Sherpa, including a Tactical Marketing Coordinator who manages day-to-day campaign execution. The results across every placement have been consistent: quick integration, immediate contribution, and in several cases, skills that extended the agency's capability beyond what they originally hired for.

All businesses today are challenged with finding experienced, talented individuals to support and be partners in their organization… After speaking with Matt we decided to take a different approach and see if we could find team members beyond the borders of our country. So far the results have been beyond expectations and our new team members have fit right in and within weeks brought additional knowledge, experience and skill sets to our team. I would highly recommend investigating this new approach to talent acquisition.

Expanded Capability

Why this matters for you

If your local market isn't producing great candidates, the problem isn't your hiring process. It's the pool you're fishing in.

Most agency owners who hit a local talent wall respond by lowering their standards, extending their search timeline, or overpaying for marginal candidates. None of those solutions fix the underlying problem.

Ghost Sherpa's LATAM bench exists because the talent is there, skilled, English-fluent, working in your time zones, at a cost structure that doesn't crush your margin before the person even starts. iBeAuthentic didn't change how they run their agency. They changed where they found their people.
